The 2022 rules narrowed those uses sharply, so stock that can no longer be used has to be removed by someone licensed. The 2022 change is the reason for a lot of these calls. Sectors that lost the entitlement — construction, plant hire, many commercial users — were left with red diesel they could no longer put in a machine, and the compliant answer is removal and documented disposal. Once lifted, the red diesel is disposed of through a licensed route — recovered where it can be, destroyed where it cannot — and every step is captured on the waste transfer note you keep. Disposal is not just removal — it is provable removal. The waste from Menzieshill Dundee reaches a licensed facility, and the transfer note documents the chain so that duty of care sits with paperwork rather than with your word. ## Local Scottish red diesel disposal in Menzieshill Dundee: the facts Fuel | Red diesel | Service | Collection and licensed disposal | Council area | Dundee City | Why it degrades | Ages like diesel, plus a legal marker dye that stains tanks | Typical sources | Farms, plant, generators, bowsers, decommissioned tanks, closing businesses | Classification | Hazardous waste — waste transfer note issued | Regulator | SEPA | Typical cost | Quoted per litre | Attendance | Collected and disposed of under licence | Helpline | 01295 380724 | ## Where red diesel comes from around Menzieshill Dundee Most of the red diesel we collect and dispose of near Menzieshill Dundee originates in sold or dispersed farms, closing depots and yards, and decommissioned bulk tanks holding rebated fuel.
