That sludge blocks filters and starves engines. Once lifted, old diesel goes to a permitted facility for recovery or safe disposal, documented on a transfer note. For farms and businesses that paperwork is the duty-of-care evidence that the fuel was dealt with lawfully. Once lifted, the diesel is disposed of through a licensed route — recovered where it can be, destroyed where it cannot — and every step is captured on the waste transfer note you keep. Disposal closes the duty-of-care loop for a site in Kirkton Dundee: permitted facility, lawful handling, and a transfer note that answers the only question that matters if anyone asks — where did it go and can you show it. ## Local Scottish old diesel disposal in Kirkton Dundee: the facts Fuel | Old diesel | Service | Collection and licensed disposal | Council area | Dundee City | Postcode districts | DD3 | Why it degrades | Oxidises, drops sediment and grows diesel bug where water is present | Typical sources | Farm tanks, generators, plant, HGVs, boats, bowsers, bulk stores | Classification | Hazardous waste — waste transfer note issued | Regulator | SEPA | Typical cost | Quoted per litre | Attendance | Collected and disposed of under licence | Helpline | 01295 380724 | ## Where old diesel comes from around Kirkton Dundee Around Kirkton Dundee the old diesel we collect and dispose of comes from farm and estate bulk tanks, standby generators and plant stood between jobs with fuel in the tank. A registered carrier attends home, farm, depot, marina and commercial sites, pumps out the old diesel and issues a waste transfer note on site. **Can contaminated diesel be cleaned instead of removed?** Polishing can recover lightly contaminated diesel, but heavily bugged or watered fuel is usually removed and the tank cleaned. We can advise once we know the state of it. **Will you empty a farm or bulk tank?** Yes — domestic, farm, estate and commercial bulk tanks, bowsers and drums. Give us the volume in litres and the access and you get a price and a slot before we travel. **Do you clean the tank as well?** We remove the fuel and can arrange a tank clean where the bug or sludge means the vessel needs it before reuse. Tell us the condition when you call. **How quickly can old diesel be collected?** Often the same day for accessible sites, otherwise a booked slot. The quote and window are confirmed before anyone travels. ### One operator, four sites Fuel Fixer Scotland is the Scottish arm of Fuel Fixer Ltd.
